Hello,
Thank you for visiting my Commonplace Book. Everything here, or almost everything, is based on research I do across the internet.
In fact, nothing here has any real relevance, and perhaps that is precisely the charm of the place.
We are different, yes, but still “copies.” After all, the long chain of human learning and history is made of copies of copies, is it not? And at the end of it, we still manage to believe we are authentic. Of course, I saw something I liked and improved it for my own purposes.
This site runs on Next.js 15 (App Router) and React 19, written in TypeScript and styled with Tailwind CSS 4. Motion comes from GSAP and Lenis; analytics from a self-hosted Plausible instance. There is no database — every note, article, and document lives as a plain file on disk, and the whole thing ships as a single Docker container.
The previous version, which lived at https://md.murad.gg, was built with MkDocs. For quite some time, it was extremely useful, especially because of how quickly I could organize documents there, something that, in this current version, was not so simple to adapt with the same ease.
As for everything else: the sole author is me, and so it shall remain.
This site expresses my opinions, and nothing here is personal — they are only loose notes.
Farewell,
Pablo
